Creamy Sundried Tomato Spread


  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes (blanched and drained)
  • 8oz lowfat cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup walnuts (coarsely chopped)
  • 1/3 cup dry white wine
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 teaspoon your favorite dried hot spice
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1/3 cup fresh basil (finely chopped)
  • Crackers or crostini


Step 1. In a food processor combine first 6 ingredients (sundried tomatoes through lemon juice).
Step 2. Process until well-blended.
Step 3. Remove to large bowl and stir in hot spice, salt, pepper and basil.
Step 4. Chill for about 1 hour.
Step 5. Serve with crackers, crostini and raw veggies
Step 6. Enjoy!
